About Doug McQuiston

Douglas I. McQuiston retired from his mediation practice in April 2026 after more than four decades in the legal profession and eight years as a valued member of the Accord ADR Group panel.

Since joining Accord ADR Group in 2018 as the firm’s first panel mediator, Doug brought extensive experience in litigating, mediating, arbitrating, and trying complex tort, professional liability, construction, and insurance law disputes. His practical approach, professionalism, and thoughtful handling of challenging matters earned the trust of attorneys and clients throughout Colorado and beyond.

In 2021, Doug was named to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals in recognition of his work as a mediator and arbitrator.

Doug began practicing law in Denver in 1981 and built a distinguished legal career that included service as a trial lawyer, mediator, arbitrator, and Regional Attorney for a Fortune 100 insurer overseeing defense trial offices across six western states.

Everyone at Accord ADR Group remains deeply grateful for Doug’s contributions to the firm and to the many attorneys and clients he assisted over the years. We wish him much happiness in retirement and many successful days on the trout stream and with the bagpipes.
